- Normal stuff really. Martyn left home we decided to go bimbling through Europe at a slow rate for a few years. Couldn't be bothered with all that airport, hotel nonsense so we thought we'd take our house with us. Well a 1926 Peniche or Katwijker (Dutch Barge to the uninitiated) to be precise and do a bit of ditch crawling. We stay for as long or as short a time as we like. The journey has no specific ending or route - there is no final port 'plaisance'. We stop somewhere for a day and it does turn into weeks or months. How long depends on what we find and how much we are enjoying it. There is always a day when we will feel the urge to move on, knowing that new adventures lie just round the next bend of the voie fluviale. For some part of our adventures I'm sure you will be there to share it with us.

There's been so much rain in Bath over the weekend that theres been a landslip and your house in Lansdown is now in Snow Hill - should add to the value tho'!!
